PRSA Speed Networking was a Hit!
Nearly 30 Northeast Wisconsin communication professionals joined together in Appleton at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel on May 27 to discuss our current economic conditions. In addition to great food and beverages, conversations were abounding as we head into our summer break.
Local industry leaders (with combined experience of more than 75 years!) led each table to start the conversation. Discussions were cut off at 15 minutes and attendees were invited to move to a new table or stay put for more discussion. Table facilitators and topics were:
-
Janet Bonkowski, Schneider National: How do you make sure your position in the company remains a critical component to senior leadership during tough economic times?
-
Susan Finco, Leonard & Finco Public Relations: Have you increased your use of social media during this economy? How is it a part of your communication plan?
-
Rachel Lom, Write Image, LLC: What do you need to know when going out on your own?
-
Jim Streed, Integrys Energy Group: How are you communicating the effects of the economy to internal and external audiences?
“The round table discussions were really helpful," commented Josh Palubicki, a recent UW-Green Bay graduate and staff member at Baer Performance Marketing. "You don’t typically get that many perspectives on things and to have people from diverse professional backgrounds allowed the discussions to stay fresh and interesting.” |
